Dolce Tokyo @313 Somerset

First birthday gathering on my birthday month! I chose this house for 2 reasons, ane is I haven't endeavour this eating theatre before, the other is that we, MOF Citizens, larn to savor complimentary birthday dessert during our birthday month.

We arrived early, the eating theatre was practically empty earlier 7pm, on a weekday.

After checking out the menu, nosotros realized that this house is to a greater extent than a java together with dessert eatery instead of a dinner venue. Main courses selection is rather limited. We ordered ane mains together with ane dessert each together with an appetizers platter for sharing.

Mixed Crostini $18++, consists of half dozen toasted staff of life amongst love apple tree concasse together with half dozen types of toppings (mushroom, unagi, tamagoyaki, shrimp, kani mayo & smoked salmon). This platter turns out to survive the best dish of the day. The combination of the crispy toast, diced love apple tree together with the diversity of toppings were nicely done together with actually tasty.

My Unagi Bento $19++, was pretty adept albeit uncomplicated looking. The grilled eel was soft together with flavorful, the tamagoyaki together with pickled seaweed was palatable too.

My friend's orders, Unagi Omu Curry Rice $18++ together with Mushroom Egg Ben $15++. Both dishes were good received inward terms of taste, nevertheless my friend complained that her unagi component division was also picayune for her liking.

The desserts were mayhap the nearly disappointing items nosotros had to pay for this meal. Despite having an extensive selection, nosotros somehow managed to picked out three that were all non nice! We should accept gone somewhere else for dessert, sigh.

Please don't survive fooled past times their appearances, these desserts were either overly sweet, or difficult together with chewy, or non really fresh. Plus they are pricey too. And, my fellow member birthday dessert cannot survive redeemed here, felt cheated :(

Well, that sums upwardly our dining experience at Dolce Tokyo. I accept mixed feelings amongst this house together with properly wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is looking for adept food. But if yous only needed a house to hang out over java or a scoop of softserve, it is non a bad selection though.
